“To celebrate Recycle Week (22-28 June) and in addition to our hugely popular annual ‘Wonder Day’ in September, we’re pleased to announce a one-off open night at the Southwark Integrated Waste Management Facility for Southwark residents.

• See how we are using technology to separate recyclables in the Materials Recovery Facility

• Find out how we turn black bag waste into a fuel for energy recovery using Mechanical Biological Treatment

• Explore the Recycling Discovery Centre and have fun using our interactive exhibits

• Discover the sustainable features of the facility and learn how we are supporting biodiversity on site

Social Media Champions Wanted, Age UK

Age UK London is looking for people that would like to use their online and social media skill to benefit groups of older people. We will train and support you to be a social media champion. You will be matched to an older peoples group that’s
interested in using free online resources e.g.Twitter, Facebook. This will help them to raise their profile and ensure that older people’s voices are heard. By using social media you will be helping local older peoples groups to reduce costs
and improve communication and outreach. Age UKLondon will support you as a social media champion and help you to work with London’s diverse older population.
