Happy New Year from everyone at Age UK Lambeth

Dear Friend,

We hope that you have had a fantastic Christmas and new year and that you are looking forward to what 2018 will bring you.  At Age UK Lambeth we spent 2017 empowering thousands of older people to achieve a full quality of life culminating in our Christmas Day Dinner for 40 people who would otherwise be on their own.

Our 2018 new year’s resolutions are to reach more people, continue to grow and improve our services and raise more money to pay for all of this!  Please read on for ways that you could make a resolution to support our resolutions.

Get Fit – why not sign up for a 25km, 50km or 100km ultra challenge to inspire you to get fit and raise money for Age UK Lambeth?  There are 8 challenges to choose from and if you sign up before February 11th you can get 2 for 1 on registration fees.  Find a friend and sign up today!!! Volunteer – volunteering is a great way to give back to your community in your spare time. We have many roles available including joining a local events fundraising group and befriending. Email bev@ageuklambeth.org for more information.

Give something up – if you are quitting something in 2018 why not donate the money that you save to Age UK Lambeth.  You can make a donation here

Write a will – Approximately 2/3 of adults have not written a will and 1/3 will go on to die intestate meaning their final wishes will go unheeded. If your new year’s resolution is to get organised and write a will this year then please consider leaving a legacy to Age UK Lambeth. You can find out more by clicking here.

Experience the thrill of a lifetime – if you really want to challenge yourself in 2018 then why not sign up to do a skydive and raise money for us? The ‘drop-zone’ is less than 60 minutes from London and is organised through UK Skydive. Find out more here.
