Just as we sent yesterday’s mailout highlighting the Councl’s dilemma over recognising OBVNF we received the letter below effectively acknowledging it.

They have proposed a formal mediation.

Next Wednesday’s meeting will need to discuss and formalise our position and also select a delegation for the mediation meeting. But in case we are able to organise it for earlier next week please call if you are interested in being part of the delegation; it should be a bit like Tsipras/Varoufakis -v- the Troika.”

FREE Young People’s Private View at Tate Britain, Friday 15th May

INVITE After Hours-Waplington McQueen

Come down to a special private view of the Nick Waplington/Alexander McQueen: Working Process exhibition exclusively for young people, curated by Tate Collective London.

There will be live showcases from fashion designer Sadie Clayton, producer Tom Misch and illustrator Jess Wilson as well as complimentary refreshments and a special DJ set from Body Party DJ’s.

The private view is at Tate Britain on Friday 15 May from 7-9pm. It’s free but booking is required via the website. Please get in touch if you’d like to make a block booking for your group too.

9th May – Days of Poland Festival, 1pm-6pm.

days Every year in May, Potters Fields park, becomes the setting for the ‘Days of Poland’ event in the United Kingdom. This Polish festival, organised by 2SistersPR, is held to celebrate Polish culture in the UK. London residents and visitors are introduced to traditional and contemporary Polish folk music, arts and tasty cuisine. This FREE family friendly festival includes a variety of attractions for children and adults, including face painting, giant bubble shows, Polish national dances and live music. The performers of this year festival are three of the best Polish folk groups from London Karolinka, Orleta and Mazury. This year the festival will be held on Saturday, 9th of May. The performances on the stage will start at 13:00.
