Age UK Lewisham and Southwark, working with Southwark Council and the Southwark Keep Warm Keep Well campaign is working to ensure anyone over 60, especially those with respiratory illnesses or dementia, and families with disabled children are able to stay warm and healthy over the cold winter months.
To do this we will provide home visits to give advice on keeping warm, reducing bills and installing energy efficient measure and we will be signposting and referring to services for additional support and advice so people receive all the help they are entitled to, are able to access any necessary equipment and remain connected to their communities during the cold months.
During periods of very cold weather we will also be able to provide emergency supplies and carry out essential shopping services, clearing pathways and collecting prescriptions.
If you or someone you know would benefit from this service please call us on 0207 358 4077 and request a visit or alternatively complete the referral form and we will contact you.
This is a free service which is funded through the Department of Health.
Let’s make sure that everyone in Southwark stays warm and healthy this winter.
