Childcare Adviser Salary £28,500 – £30,500 pro-rata, depending on experience

As part of our work to support parents and lone parents back into work, through our Families Matter employment team, we are seeking a new part time Childcare Adviser who can support the team to facilitate access to more Educational/school/ childcare vacancies and work placements by approaching and working directly with local organisations/ employers – e.g. nurseries, schools, after school clubs etc and who can also advise clients and other advisers about childcare issues/ policy changes etc. A minimum of 2 years experience of working with parents returning to work or working in Children’s Services on Childcare/Early Years issues and with a clear understanding of national and local childcare funding/ policy and legislation

A relevant qualification in childcare, early years or education, or a Degree

Experience and track record of meeting targets and KPIs

Just to keep you updated in-case you get any enquiries:

The Traffic Management Order is ready to be finalised for 20th July 2015. We had no objections that would force the order back to community council.

Signage is already going up. Susan is meeting with Clarence next Thursday to discuss lineage.

Clarence will then give Susan the go-ahead to send the letters notifying all residents of the scheme, with go-live dates and how the process works. This should ensure that no-one gets a ticket without first being notified, given time to get their permits and so on.

Basically the line is that letters will be going out to all residents affected in the next few weeks and this will tell them of the key dates and the process for getting permits etc., so this is the feedback we will be giving anyone who enquires. They should not worry about getting a ticket as they will all get a letter first.

Tomorrow, 17th July – Southwark Eid festival in Burgess Park SE5

This year’s Ramadan is fast under way. So is the preparation for the upcoming annual Southwark Eid festival that marks the end of the holy month for Muslims in the Borough.

This year’s Eid event will be held again in Burgess Park on Eid day either on Friday the 17th or Saturday the 18th of July. The actual date is subject to sighting of the new moon. We will announce the date here on our website and our social media channels including Twitter and Facebook so keep posted.
