Feedback from Southwark Council on Draft Neighbourhood Plan
We have now had Southwark Council’s feedback on our Draft Neighbourhood Plan.
This can be seen alongside the draft plan on the OBF website.
Please email any feedback to info@oldbermondseyforum.org.
There will also be a chance to discuss this informally at our Christmas party on the 14th December.
SOUTHWARK NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH ASSOCIATION (SNWA) Notice of Annual General Meeting (AGM) 6 – 8pm Wednesday 8th February 2017 Dulwich Public Library (1st Floor), 368 Lordship Lane, Dulwich (Plough), London SE22 8NB
Dear Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator / Representative
The Annual General Meeting of SNWA will take place as above. You are invited to attend in your eligible capacity as a Local Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator, or as Chairman of a Tenants & Residents Association which also has a Neighbourhood Watch function, or as a Nominated Representative of one of these, in each case within the London Borough of Southwark.
The Meeting on 8th February 2017 is a significant one because the Officers of SNWA elected in 2014 will be retiring under the SNWA Constitution, and so there will be vacancies for the honorary posts of Chairman, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and a Committee of at least six other Members to serve from 2017 to 2020.
The function of SNWA is to increase public participation in the prevention and detection of crime, promote good citizenship and greater public awareness through neighbourhood and home watch groups, to help increase community safety and reduce the fear of crime, and to improve police / community liaison. For these objectives only, SNWA may represent the interests of its constituents at Southwark Safer Neighbourhood Board, provide services for Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators, and work with police to further these aims. There is an accountable budget to assist with these aims.
At the 8th February 2017 AGM modest refreshments will be provided, according to numbers attending. Therefore would you be so kind as to let us know as soon as possible (and in any event by 25th January 2017) whether or not you are likely to attend this Meeting, and if so whether you might be interested to serve as an Officer or on the Committee. If you are interested thus, I will email to you a copy of SNWA Constitution.
Access to Dulwich Public Library is via Bus Numbers 176, 185, 197, 40, 12 stopping or terminating at Dulwich Library bus stop (or by rail to East Dulwich Station from London Bridge, then 176 toward Penge or 185 bus toward Lewisham; there is no convenient direct bus service from North Dulwich or West Dulwich Stations). Street parking is limited in the immediate vicinity of Dulwich Library although there are spaces (no charge) to be found in nearby Court Lane a few minutes’ walk from the Library.
We look forward to your reply, and if possible your attendance.
